About our church
Boone’s Creek Baptist Church is a community of believers located in Johnson City, Tennessee. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by connecting people to God, to each other, and to the world around us. We believe that God has called us to be a light in our community, and we are committed to serving and loving our neighbors in practical ways.
Our church offers a variety of ministries for all ages, including Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Adult Bible Studies, and more. We also have a Nursery and Toddler program during all of our services to care for our youngest members.
At Boone’s Creek Baptist Church, we believe in the power of prayer and encourage all of our members to make it a daily part of their lives. We also place a strong emphasis on studying and applying God’s Word in our daily lives, and we offer a variety of opportunities for individuals and families to grow in their faith.
We believe that everyone has a unique role to play in God’s Kingdom, and we strive to create an environment where every member can discover and use their gifts and talents to make a positive impact on the world around them. Whether you’re new to the area or have been attending our church for years, we welcome you to come and be a part of our family.
What To Expect
We have a blend of current new hymns as well as hymns that have been around for years. We have a worship band that leads us as well as a choir that sings monthly.
Dress comfortably. Some people wear suits while others wear jeans.
Of course we welcome and want all the children! We have care for nursery & preschool and special worship for K-5th grade during worship.
Come in the front of the building which has several steps fronting the road. Our guest connections team would be glad to help you find your place.
Our Beliefs
At Boone’s Creek Baptist Church, we affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as a statement of our beliefs. We believe in the Bible as the inspired Word of God and the ultimate authority for faith and practice. We also believe in the triune God, the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, salvation by grace through faith, and the importance of the Church as the body of Christ.

Our Staff
Pastor Jason Royston
Pastor Jason has been in the ministry since 2002. He is married to Mandy, and they have 3 teenage children, Jeremiah, Sam, and Molly. Pastor Jason has a Bachelor's Degree from ETSU, an MA from Southeastern Seminary, and M.Div from Liberty Seminary. Pastor Jason has served as pastor at Boones Creek since 2017.
Isaac Depew
Isaac has been the worship director and a member of Boones Creek Baptist Church since August 2021. He was raised in Watauga, TN, with a strong Christian background. Currently, he is pursuing a degree in Communication at East Tennessee State University with plans to attend seminary after graduation. His desire is to spread the Gospel through ministry.
Hayden Howard
Hayden started serving with Boones Creek in August of 2022. She is currently studying special education at ETSU. She serves as the Social Outreach Coordinator at the ETSU Baptist Collegiate Ministry, and with Luke 14 Ministries supporting the leadership team and assisting with marketing and PR. In her spare time, she is an active member of Sigma Kappa Sorority in the Gamma Lambda chapter. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and visiting her two dogs, Bubba and Bella, in Morristown.
